      Still looking ...

If you have not found quite what you're looking for I will work with you to create a piece of custom designed jewelry in my signature style. If you haven't yet seen the section with some of my example jewelry designs, you might find some ideas for unique rings, pendants, bracelets, earrings or mens rings there to inspire you.

Please, do not ask me to copy a piece of jewelry or follow your design as I work only with my own original designs (see note below).

All my work is hand fabricated, so there will be minor variations. Note that handcrafted jewelry will include subtle differences, even when a design is reproduced. Please allow for these slight variations, as no two pieces of handmade jewelry can be identical. Please do not hesitate to call or email if you want more information about what these slight differences might be.

If I cannot recreate the piece with a similar stone due to unavailability, I will contact you by email or phone to discuss alternatives. You may cancel your order at that time if my suggestions for alternatives are not acceptable!

      Already sold? ...

Most of my work is one of a kind; however, if you found your way to this page because you really want a piece of my work that has already sold, I can usually customize a similar piece on request. I do not duplicate jewelry that was previously created as a private commission, but you may inquire about a piece and we can work on a similar, but unique design.

You may place a custom order for any "sold" or "design idea" piece that has a button by returning to that page and clicking the button to place the order on my secure server. A custom order button indicates that although the original piece has sold, I can recreate a similar piece.

To discuss a variation of any piece, call or send an  email with the inventory number of the piece. Include your phone number in the email and a convenient time for me to call if you would like to discuss this in detail instead of through emails.

I can also work with you to create a new unique jewelry design using stones, metals or components of your choice.

Note: Due to the volatility in the recent gold and silver markets there may be a price
increase on a sold piece (more information about price increases due to market changes).

Please note:

I am a custom jewelry designer.  I only make jewelry based on my own original designs.

Please do not ask me to copy or reproduce another jeweler's design, to make jewelry from a design created by you or someone else, or to work from a picture.

I am very pleased to work with you to create a new unique design in my signature style that will incorporate gemstones, metals and components of your choice, but for many business and legal reasons I do not make jewelry from design's created by others.

So, if you already have a design, it is best that you contact a local jewelry shop that employs a bench jeweler where you can discuss your design with them.

The Custom Order Process - Phase I and Phase II

There are two phases to ordering a custom designed piece of jewelry.

Phase I starts with a discussion about the piece, its size, stones and metals to be used.

Phase II is complete after you give your approval of the design - based on the model(s) / image(s) I send. Custom orders normally require three to six weeks after the design has been approved.

Phase I of the Custom Jewelry Order

The custom order process for a new jewelry design starts with your email or phone call. During this first phase I ask you to tell me something about the jewelry you want (the type, stones, metal or anything else important to you).

I will help you during the design phase by asking questions and making suggestions so the final design is what you have envisioned.

This usually involves several phone conversations or emails to ensure I understand what you want your jewelry to look like.

I will make sure we cover the stones, size, metals, finish, weight and an estimated price and delivery schedule.

My Responsibility

I see part of my responsibility as your custom jeweler to offer guidance about design, size, weight, stones and metals. This is to make sure that the piece is not only comfortable to wear, but one that receives compliments every time you wear it. I want this to become one of your favorite pieces of jewelry - an heirloom you want to pass on.

Part of this responsibility is offering alternative suggestions, to ensure that your custom piece is one you will hand down from one generation to the next. This is something I believe is missing in today's mass-produced jewelry market.

For instance, if you have asked for a pair of earrings with specific stones in a certain size, I would warn you if that would result in very heavy earrings. I would suggest an alternative for the stone or its size.

I might also suggest using a drusy in earrings or in a pendant instead of in a ring or bracelet because drusies are very fragile.

Phase II of the Custom Jewelry Order

The second phase of the process begins after I have a clear understanding of your desires obtained from our phone conversations or email correspondence.

In this phase, I create a design(s) using a graphics program and digital images of the actual (or sample) stones.

When the design(s) are ready, I will send you an email with a link to a private page on my website so you can see pictures of the design(s) and approve it -or- request modifications.

Some examples of previous pendant and ring designs and what you can expect to see on "your" private page.
