Meet the 2023 couture design award winners. Several designers and personalities struck goldat the Couture Design Awards in Sin City.
The annual event, held Saturday at the Encore Theater, honored businesses and individuals in 14 categories.
Celebrating Excellence In Fashion And Jewelry
French labels had a strong showing among the winners, with companies such as Marie Lichtenberg, Viltier, and Maison Alix Dumas taking home Couture's signature black marble statues.
The Cindy Edelstein Award, awarded to a person who helps positively advance the industry forward, was emotional, as it has been in previous years.
The 2023 recipient, retailer John Green of Lux Bond & Green, a fifth-generation jewelrycompany, emphasized the importance of community in the jewelry industry.
“There’s a lot of people here I don’t know but I promise you, I loveall of you,” he said. “I love this industry; I’ve been very blessed.”

The winner of "Best in Gold" was the French brand Viltier.
Cadar finished in second place, and Isabelle Fa finished in third place.
Aletto Brotherstook first place in the "Best in Colored Gems Above $40,000 Retail" category.
Tangarart was a second-place finalist at the Julls booth, and Couturemark was a third-place contender.
Kamyenwas named the "Best in Colored Gems Under $40,000 Retail" award.
Cicada finished in second place, and Sylva & Cie finished in third place.
Retrouvaí, which was on display at For Future Reference, got the top spot for "Best in Bridal," marking its third straight Couture Design Award triumph.
Muse exhibitor Bea Bongiasca was the second-place finalist, while Phillips House was the third-place finalist.
Ondynwon the category "Best in DiamondsUnder $40,000 Retail."
The second-place finalist was Eva Fehren, while the third-place finalist was 64Facets.
Etho Mariatook first place in the "Best in Diamonds Above $40,000" category.
The second-place finalist was Busatti in 1947, while the third-place finalist was Mattioli.
Maison Alix Dumas, a first-time exhibitor, earned the prize for "Best in Haute Couture."
Messika finished in second place, and Victor Velyan finished in third place.
Persée Pariscontinued the French wave by winning "Best in Pearls."
Nomis finished second in the category. Amrapali London finished third in the competition.
Sorellinawon first place in the "Best in Platinum" category.
Henrich & Denzel GmbH was the second-place finalist, and TenThousandThings was the third-place finalist.
NeverNoTwas the winner of the "Best in Below $10,000 Retail" category.
Van was the third-place finalist, and Stephen Webster was the second-place finalist.
Marie Lichtenbergearned "Best in Innovative" for her "Magic 8 Ball" design, which was created in partnership with Mattel.
The second-place finalist was Studio Renn, and the third-place finalist was Peruffo.
Peruffowas named the "Best in Debuting" award.
The second-place finalist was Maison Alix Dumas, while the third-place finalist was Alexandra Rosier.
TenThousandThingswon the "Best in Editors' Choice" award for its platinum and pearl necklace, which is shown below.
Gismondi1754 was the second-place finalist, and Peruffo was the third-place finalist.
Finally, Perufforeceived its second award of the night in the "Best in People's Choice" category, which was voted on by text during the awards ceremony.
Vendorafa was the second-place finalist, while David Oscarson was the third-place finalist.
