Drusy, often misspelled as druzy or drusie, is the term applied to any stone with a layer of fine quartz or quartz-like crystals on the surface of the stone. Drusy is found naturally inside geodes (i.e. amethyst, citrine) and inside the crevices of many stones like chrysocolla or agate. Most drusies exhibit more intense coloring than the host stone and are completely natural. However, titanium coated drusy will display brilliant iridescence and can be blue, white or gold colored.
