Charoite is lilac, lavender, violet and/or purple with swirling black and sometimes grayish white veining. Some charoite may also contain golden brown patches. A very unusual looking stone that, if you didn't know better, you might think was man-made or even plastic. It exhibits similar patterns often seen in marble.
