Chrysocolla is sometimes mistaken for turquoise because of it's blue-green color. It is found throughout various states in the USA; Israel; Zaire and England. It is a relatively soft stone and unless it has been agatized in quartz it is usually too soft to be cut and polished for jewelry purposes.
